Deadline approaching for MA board nominations
The deadline is fast approaching for nominations to the Museums Association (MA) board, which currently has three vacancies.

The MA is seeking talented, motivated and creative people to stand for election to the 12-person board. Those elected will serve a three-year term beginning on 1 April.

Candidates must be individual members of the MA, and need two other members to support their nomination.

The board is the MA’s governing body and is responsible for ensuring the MA fulfils its aims and objectives. Becoming a board member is an opportunity to shape the future of the sector and drive the strategic direction of the MA by helping to develop new policy and initiatives, and lobby government and other stakeholders on behalf of museums.

The role is not remunerated but reasonable expenses are paid.

A full description of the role and guidance on how to put your name forward can be found here:
Nominations must be submitted by 23.59 on 29 January. Voting commences in early February, with the results due on 2 March.
