Ten free places at MA Conference for under-represented groups

The Museums Association (MA) is offering 10 free places at our Annual Conference & Exhibition in Brighton, 3-5 October, to people from groups that are particularly under-represented in the UK museum sector.

The free places are available to individuals who face barriers due to ethnicity, disability and class, and are part of our wider work towards creating a more inclusive conference and sector.

We will also support any accessibility requests such as the provision of British Sign Language (BSL) or a support worker.

Simon Stephens, the MA’s head of publications and events, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer these 10 free places to ensure our conference is representative of all people in the sector.

“The MA is deeply committed to diversity, equality and inclusion, and it is vital that we reflect that commitment in our annual conference. We look forward to welcoming all delegates to Brighton for what promises to be a radical, exciting and thought-provoking few days.”

The MA's Annual Conference and Exhibition takes place on 3-5 October at the Brighton Conference Centre. This year's theme explores Sustainable and Ethical Museums in a Globalised World.

Applicants must be MA individual members. Applications should be submitted for consideration no later than Sunday 1 September.
